System Architecture
Data is sent on to
the Vehicle Management Centre server from each
vehicle mounted unit using GPRS, a high speed data
network using the digital mobile phone network. The
system uses a Client/Server architecture where
information is checked by the GPRS Data Systems
Central Authentication Server, then sent via the
Internet to the Customer Vehicle Management Centre
Server. The server is located at the customer’s site
allowing the workstations to connect via the
internal LAN.
